I've got one who will be in preschool next year and another on the way.
We picked an area to live where people have similar values to us. I know we will deal with some bozo parents and teachers along the way, but we're trying to teach my son to be independent and resilient. I saw too many kids growing up who had their entire lives scheduled by their parents and couldn't make a decision without mommy and imploded in adulthood.
I think the biggest threats are leveraged federal government bubble that will pop on my son's watch, and the loss of freedom due to tracking technology embedded in everything.
