He was working on his PhD in AI at Yale and she worked for the mayor of New Haven. I was living the Big Bang sitcom way before it was a show! I swear now looking back she was a Penny and he was such a Leonard. He would have his friends over and they were ridiculous smart ultra geeks but couldn't drink and were awful at cards (over thought everything). Actually it was pretty fun. Yaleys are a good lot.
