I'll have to check my spare tranny that came with the engine to see if it is also a match.
The engine surfaced in the same area that the car came from. I wonder what the chances are that it was the actual motor from my car?
This all leaves me with quite a dilemma going forward.
After a number of future years of enjoyment, sell my somewhat rare 3.0 Carrera motor one day and install the hot rodded 2.4 with E/S cylinders etc, turn the car back from an RSR to a narrow car as delivered, or simply sell the 2.4 and forget the whole thing.
Meanwhile I am having fun with my short stroke 3.0 pretending that I am driving a 2.8 RSR
