Absolutely. Coming from over 20 years of DE and Porsche track-related activities (time trials, etc.) one eye-opener relative to ChumpCar racing is that it is
real racing. The whole $500 car thing is a joke. Sure, there are many cars out there that are inexpensively prepared, but it is probably almost impossible to put a car on the track in a ChumpCar race for less than $5k unless one is an excellent fabricator and does all of the work themselves. I would say most of them are $10k cars.
Being a Porsche guy, I think it would be fun to run a 944.
