Did a fee-lance writing project a little while ago - actually for a hooker of all people! Pay was decent and no I didn't take skin in trade! I'm terrified of STDs and the idea that other men would play in that sand just freaks me out.
The life style is fascinating but not as off base as I once thought. Like I said, there is a difference in the girls on the stroll vs. call-ins, vs. higher level. The call-ins and higher end (while some have a drug issue) mostly are very much into making serious money. The girls on the walk are a very very sad story - illegals, runnaways, crazies, druggies...that life is the saddest of all.
All the ones I have interviewed (call ins and high end) are actually very cool. I wouldn't talk to the street walkers - many have pimps that are basically evil. Very scary. But the others are actually very engaging - cagey but cool. I actually enjoyed talking to them but like I said, now more then ever I would't touch any of them. Surprising.
