A good point - but all too often fuel injection on early cars end up taking guys down a ramp with cost and myriad issues where it's not really any better than PMO. There tends to be a disconnect from vintage..

Big mystery is why no one has been able to offer a low end carb setup each side of the motor, with plenum, linkage, and cold start ability..

Two of these (or 3) each side - would handle lag and mixture problems you cite. Inexpensive single barrel carbs might surprise some people.
