I had a new Schwinn Paramount (bought partially with paper route money) at the time of that job (replacing the venerable Schwinn Continental!). It came with Clement silk sewups. Rode that to work often. Also took it (a road racing P-13 version) on a 3-week tour of northern Mich. with some sort of racks clamped onto it. Probably fixed 8-10 flats (always fun with tubulars) on the side of the road during that trip.
