It's been 3 years since I took a vacation.

Costed me $1600 to have someone stay with Mom. Because I found a caregiver so late did not get in on the half price group room rates for Fri and Sat nites, that was an extra $150. Burned thru 4 tanks of petrol at $60 a fill up on the Cayenne.

On the good side stayed on friends very cumfy over stuffed couch on Wed, Thurs, and Sunday nites. Bought their breakfasts Thurs, Fri, Mon, and they bought me dinner Thurs and Sun, so got off real cheap there. Also won the big door prize, a full set of Koni Red adjustable shocks for the 928, $700. With all the shots and "here try this" beers and other drinks making the rounds Fri and Sat nite only drank a 6 pack of my own beer. There was a local brewed chocolate stout that was very good.

All the walking and standing around really wore me out. Especially the standing around in the parking lot partying Fri and Sat nite from 8pm to 3am. My feet and legs ached with every movement Sunday afternoon thru Tuesday. Had to resort to some Jack Links BBQ Pork Jerky to stay awake on the drive home. Their BBQ pork jerky is pretty good, by the way.
