The thing with the PDK is you need to get the sports chrono package with it. That gives you two other programs to run the transmission in which are a lot more aggressive and more fun than the standard program.

Here is what I can tell you about the PDK. When it first came out in late 2008 as a 2009 MY 911 I was at the Porsche school. I have a reasonable amount of track time, mostly in my old e30 M3. I am no expert by any means but I am a decent weekend warrior. I drove the PDK car back to back vs the exact same car in manual and my lap times weren’t even close. I was much quicker in the PDK car. I also spend an extended period of time in a 09 carrera S PDK with sports Chrono and its really fun. I also commuted in it and slogging along in stop and go freeway traffic is much nicer than doing the 1-2, 2-1, 1-2, 2-1 and so on shuffle.
