I would say they are not as good......but......#30 had no fuel pumps when I got her....I bought the 40$ ones on eBay.....(1) failed, but I believe I did not prime it. I replaced it with another ho-chi-Minh pump, and so far so good....it has been 2 years, and they are both still pumping....of course my car has not been driven on the road as of yet...so I cannot attest to their performance.

I would say get the right one the first time, and you will probably have (1) less thing to worry about....
