In the course of a year both my dogs (boxers) suffered partial tears. My vet put them on meds and the Phycox soft chews. My male is fine all healed female was fine than jumped off my deck and tore it through. Surgery was a little over 2k took her 3 weeks to walk again on the leg and was fully healed in about 3 months. She's been fine since than and is very active.
