Seriously, if Singer restored 1,000 964s that'd be what, < 3% of all 964s left? That leaves lots of cars available....

I believe the 964 has finally been recognized for the brilliant platform it is...
Can Singer use ROW tubs for US production? Assuming the car is exported outside the US I would agree but for US use it would need a US vin. That leaves less than 6000 C2's/C4's and there are probably a lot fewer than that left with so many crashed and parted out over the years I would guess less than 4000 exist here still.

With that being said there are a lot of owners that have no interest in selling like myself and many others I know. Also there are so many backdating these to long nose other than Singer I think you will find pickings to be slim and less plentiful than you would imagine. How many of these have become heavily modified track cars that would cost more than their potential return to convert back to stock?

What would the price tag be for your car?
Fully realizing that you may not be able to ever afford/find another one.

Me? 40 seems too damn low, price-wise for a sorted, decent one.
I, personally, would regret it. Probably go into a deep depression. : )

Edit: I singled out the C2 manual, as that is what I own, no disrespect meant towards the targa and cab owners.
I know my number is unrealistic and as I said I have no interest in selling but my 60k mile 93 C2 in very clean condition would take at a minimum $55k probably closer to $60k before I ever considered selling. Problem is there is almost nothing I would consider replacing it with. The new cars are all like driving video games or lack the connection to the road and visceral feel. There are many cars I have lusted after over the years but 90% of them loose their appeal once behind the wheel.

If you truly enjoy these cars selling would be a mistake unless you have the resources to pay up for one again in the future.
