If it works anything like the BG 44k it does most of its cleaning during the heat soak cycle when the engine is turned off. The more natural stops and starts you can do while it's in there the more melting of the deposits will take place. Just doing a straight highway drive with 44k in your tank will accomplish little. Some cleaners actually remove deposits to agressively and can actually block small orifices. Its a fine line . It's important to have just the right chemistry to dissolve build-ups safely. Similar chemistry to clean internals of automatic transmissions, you don,t want clogged valve bodies that just make your shifting problems worse. Doug
