Perhaps value is a function of attrition. As the total population numbers of these cars decreases, the collectibility of these cars increases.

Just based on what I see around here....
I was seeing good examples of 944 cars around here for mid 3s before the 944 Cup series really became popular. Then the cars started getting bought up. Now a good 944 will cost you $10k (as the previous poster noted).

Are they any good?
I have owned 924, 944, long hood, SC and now a 996.
The only one I hated was the 924.

Would I own a 928? Oh, yeah.
I may regret it, but as an outsider looking in, I really like the car's body styling - in spite of it's 80's interior.
