its not that critical, any 2 wires will do. Porsche did use a coax wire to shield interference for what ever reason. But you can put a connector in line to make removal of the distributor easer. I found several years later that my SC had the green wire cut and it was stripped and wire nuts were used to connect the wires! it was this way for 3 years and never missed a beat. It's just a trigger wire.
