Here is a safety fun fact:
While cooking the wife's dinner, I was simmering some chicken in a newer pan at low heat. I step off to the side then "bang!", like a .22cal. The glass lid fractures, blowing the handle up and over onto the counter directly in front of where I was standing, pelting me with small glass particles. So the moral to this fun fact is that if you purchased a package from Costco containing pots and pans, use caution.....
