Excellent information.
I bought my ex wife a diamond ring that was not cheap. It had a classic cut in a simple setting that IMO looked great.
When we separated she sold it in a second hand store and guess what.
She got next to nothing for it and she turned around and used that to put me down to our children.
"See, I told you your father is useless. He couldn't even buy me a decent ring"
At this stage in my life I doubt I'd ever buy another diamond ring for any woman.
I'm not saying never but she would have to be "Worth the Rock!"
