This is a good thread. I spent a lot of time with my grandpa growing up,and always enjoyed hearing stories about how it was in his time. Lived, and supported his family through the great depression at the age of 14, you know, that sort of stuff...
I was born in 70, so I cannot really play in this thread, but times were a whole lot different even back then. The world seemed a smaller , simpler place, where people looked out for each other. The American dream was still alive and well, not sure exactly when it died off, but seems to be gone.
