I used the 3M heavy duty double-sided tape; there's no way its coming off the glass. Their instructions for removing is NOT to try pulling it off; rather cut the tape in half, then scrape the remainder off. I would make sure the glass is bone dry - perhaps even use a hairdryer on it, then use the tape
