I did the same thing, removed the feet and stuck it to the glass but the angle of the LED's was downward so it was not as bright from the rear of the car as I had hoped for. So, I reinstalled the feet and angled the display to parallel with the ground. Mine was on a Targa. Now the display is bright and is easy to see in full sunlight.
