recommendations - engine mount crossmember
I tried to do what I thought was a simple job today...replace motor mounts. They are original (1985) and the bolts wouldn't budge. I was surprised how the cross member flexed. I tried to several ways to counter the torque, but couldn't. Found tears in the cross member near the bolt receptacles. Now I need a new cross member...hopefully something stronger with unthreaded receptacles so I can go with bolt and nut. Any recommendations?
