When I last upgraded the computer wouldn't boot. The MB did not recognize the newer processors without a BIOS update. We went round and round a couple times when they would tell me to update the BIOS and I said I would as soon as then sent the chip. Can't update the BIOS if I can't boot the computer.

That is about what I had to do to set up the RAID. The BIOS has changed from the time the instructions were printed and the instructions are just wrong. I had to go in and delete the RAID reboot and make a new RAID and then follow some goofy steps to get Windows to see the RAID. The instructions even said to load the RAID driver for Windows with a floppy.

I finally got a USB drive to work for the driver and all was good.
