I don't think it's service dogs per se....some folks just have irrational phobias imo. I'm partial to labs too. Yesterday, I visited a friend who has an 11 mo. old GSD that's in the process of being trained as he loses his vision. She's such a sweetie too. Good luck with your wife's journey Lubey...give her a "treat" for me
