I'm prepping my rear torsion tube for paint and the welds on the tube are just plain ugly. Have they failed? I can see the seams, they're rough, jagged and all those little BB's (from a wire weld) I knocked off don't give me any more confidence.

My car is an '83 N/A. Anyone seen such a bad or failed weld? I'll have to wait till the weekend to compare. Any replies would be appreciated. Aloha, Neal
