Ford offers sneak peek of Mustang Shelby GT350's Voodoo V8 | Fox News

Ford has lifted the hood on its new Voodoo V8 engine.

In a video showcasing the extreme weather testing that it subjects its cars to, the automaker reveals the Mustang Shelby GT350's 500-plus horsepower 5.2-liter mill for the first time. Engine geeks rejoice!

The prominent cold air intake probably came in handy during the high temperature test, less so when the engine was subjected to sub-freezing temperatures and frost.

Have fun trying to spot all of the other technical details while we wait for Ford to dish out more information on the flat-plane crank motor closer to when the car goes on sale sometime next year.

Now I'm interested. Ford already sells a lot of Mustang motors to boutique makers like Panoz. It'd be REALLY cool if a variation of this ended up in the rumored next-generation Ford GT...
