The "sold Items" filter on eBay is hardly accurate. Look how many items appear in that search over and over again and appear to be sold. How many of them were shill bid and sold?
Unfortunately the market in used cars is not transparent and we simply don't get to know "time and sales" like we would for any of the capital markets.
