You could turn on all the driving aids to max and arcade it.
They have done a heck of a job with the physics. Some of the cars can be quite a handfull. I suggest you pick a easy track and practice. Have you worked on the car set up stuff. If you are driving a Porsche, then try using the settings we know from our real cars. The advanced set ups are very, very advanced. I still suck but am having a great time at it. Try setting the opponent strength to a % that is slightly faster than you and follow the fast guys. I downloaded a 917 and the Lemans track, it goes great with the movie.
