It worked for me, but I was nearsighted and only used a lens on one eye to see distance. It was not perfect, though. The problem for most folks is that they tend to spend a lot of time without the lens in. That defeats the brain training itself to switch between the two eyes. I later got lasik in the same eye which is great...and works much better. Eventually I will probably need readers, but not yet.
The only way it will work is if the farsighted lens is on your dominant eye. Make sure that is the case. In-between distances will always be a little off. A bigger monitor or Iphone seems to help a lot for me..for the in-between.
