The only way it will work is if the farsighted lens is on your dominant eye. Make sure that is the case. In-between distances will always be a little off. A bigger monitor or Iphone seems to help a lot for me..for the in-between.
I'm the other way around, I have my close-up lens in my dominant eye.

This is very subjective, what works for one person won't necessarily work for someone else. You have to use trial and error to find what works for you, including swapping lenses between eyes to learn what works best for you.
