I've always used Softscrub. The GE range that was in the house when we bought it was about 13 years old when we went to stainless. The cooktop looked nearly new. It was branded "Ceran."

Our "new" GE glass cooktop that's 2 years old looks terrible. It is NOT branded Ceran. It's very scratched just from normal use, moving pots around, etc. The Softscrub makes it looks as good as it's going to look. Would not buy GE again if I had the chance to go back and do it over again.
