I was doing some welding & grinding. Masking paper on the trunk flange & 2 big towels laying over the rear window. I did turn off the light before I left but some errant spark got something smoldering, I guess....I didn't go thru my usual check list ( been fabbing stuff out there for about 15 years) before leaving.

I got "lucky". There are enough flammable solvents out there to blow the shop off the map.....but I keep them away from the immediate work area. The gas tank is out of the car.....just a small victory for Murphy.
