I burned one to the ground once. Like stated, could have been much worse. My buddy lit one, and it burned his parents house down. He was never allowed to work on cars on their property again .
I was lucky, built the car in my parents garage, got it running , but my brand new holley was leaking fuel . I pulled the car outside overnight. When I went to fire it up the next morning, it backfired, and whoof! Burnt to the ground in the driveway, but saved the house . I had a fire extinguisher, but the gas fire laughed at it. This was a really, clean and fast 77 with a built large journal 327.
