A guy on the 944 bb had his early 80s silver 944 rear ended so hard that it wouldn't be fixed even if it were new. The insurance company's first offer was 5k. He balked and was offered 6.3k which could get him into a decent 951 if he was a diligent shopper. He should be happy, too.

You got a great deal on the car, so now be elated with your profit.
$19,500 may have been a fair offer a year or two ago but prices have spiked massively over the last year. The only way you find a decent car for that price is if the seller hasn't been paying attention.
