No offense intended, but to my eye with the whale tail, the deep set wheels, and the angle of the photo, the rear of the car looks a lot like a current NHRA Pro Stock. The rear flares seem to be quite unusual and radical. Not sure how you would ever fill them properly with correct wheel/tire combo. There's a lot of inner lip at the rear.
They would also be quite expensive to "undo" since they are carried so high up the quarter panel. I say keep it as it is and play around at will to see what you can come up with. Might take quite a bit of grunt from the engine to get the proper size tire rolling from a dead start.
