I had hoped for something better. The pilot was a bit obnoxious. Too much yelling and screaming about nothing.
Chris Elliot? Had enough of him. He should have stayed under Letterman's stairs, IMHO.

BTW I worked on set, during the filming of Best In Show, with the same collection of SCTV types.
Christopher Guest had the crew rolling on the ground, in laughter. They did not even have a real script to follow.

fwiw: I don't like the title, Schitt Creek. I believe they could have done better.
