Anyone intimately familiar with Audi MMI?
Posted this on AudiWorld, but the traffic there seems slow.
My new/used car has AMI - Audi Music Interface, a fancy name for an iPod cable. However, the system menu doesn't show that it's active. I'm thinking that at some point the software the runs the whole thing was updated and this feature just wasn't turned back on.
Does anyone know if there's a way to turn this on through the car, or does it have to be programmed through a VAG COM system? I found lots of info on the next generation system and how to do it through a hidden service menu, but my car (2nd Gen MMI) doesn't have that menu.
