Yeah it was a bad play and he deserved the suspension. As far as the suspension is concerned, it was probably two games because there was no call on the ice, no injury.
I find it laughable that no one complains about Matt Cooke (who ended Marc Savard's career with a far dirtier hit), Pat Verbeck (the original Little Ball of Hate),
Terrible Ted (if you don't know who he is you don't know hockey), Sean Avery (who had hoof and mouth disease), Jordan Tootoo, Theo Fleury Mark Messier, Claude Lemieux...
That said, you can't find too many people who played the agitator so well yet still has as many points each year. . He knows what he is doing and he's paid very very well to be the jerk who gets under your skin. You are thinking about how to get even for the last period while he is scoring a goal.
