I am a dyed in the wool Pats hater. However, I tend to doubt this is true (or material). The Pats tend to find ways to circumvent the spirit of the rule, not the rule itself. In this case, the ball can be at 12.5-13.5psi, maybe they were inspected at 13.5psi and dropped to 12.5psi during the game because it was rainy. In that case, they didn't break the rule but still tampered with the balls during the game, after inspection. Certainly against the spirit of the rule, but not outwardly against it.
Even so, it didn't matter as the Colts were outclassed in all three phases of the game. That is what really burns me though, as the organization has done the same thing before without need (at the time of spygate, the Pats were easily the best team in their weak division and didn't need to engage in unscrupulous behavior for an advantage).
We shall see, they have a talented group of coaches and players. So do their Super Bowl opponents.
