Durametric software scan to look for large scale cam deviations.
Do an oil change and look in the filter for any metal.
Pull the oil pan and look for more metal.
Pull the transmission and pull the IMS cover off (please follow the procedures for this, don't just remove the cover. Lock the engine at TDC, relieve cam chain tensioners, etc).
Best of luck. I didn't have the Durametric software and my car ran perfectly with no rattling noises. However when I did an oil change I found a small amount of metal. My bearing turned out to be failing.
