Long night last night. Finally got to bed this morning about 3:00. The driveway is clear though.

Rick, on that 9 1/4 rear end, they replaced all the bearing while they were in there and the noise went away, mostly. He said his rollback was the same and it the noise went back to normal after some miles were put on it. He checked the ring and pinion and said they looked great and the bearing wasn't even that bad, but enough to throw off the alignment and now that it is back to correct alignment it will wear differently for a bit. The noise is more like the rear end in the Cobra, but I can hear that because it is 15 inches from my butt. I trust the shop for most everything but wasn't sure on this after your comment before.

I have looked at those 1911s. I don't like the trigger on some of their other semi-autos. Lots of creep. These I hear all good things about.
