Might want to double check that regarding 2006. My understanding is that all 997.1 engines 2005-2008 are prone to eventual failure. The 2006-2008 cars do not have a replaceable bearing which in my opinion makes them less desireable than a 2005. Prove me wrong and I will be a happy man because there are indeed many 2006-2007 cars that are great deals right now.
Which begs the question. How long can the air cool craze keep the prices of 997 cars so low? $35k is a steal for a 2005-2008 car and there are many to be had at that price.
