Just like I don't want a ****ing PDK, I don't want some ******* dictating what I drive.

I've owned a bunch of turbos and they are fine if they are not the only car in the garage. I've owned 4 cylinder cars, too and, I don't like them. Especially, if they are turbocharged. I don't like the feel, the sound, or their typical powerband.

I sometimes wonder if the 919 project was handicapped from the start, because Porsche opted for a 4 cylinder, not because that was the best choice, but because that choice could be used down the road for marketing propaganda. You know, to convince us that turbo 4's were all the rage... Food for thought...

I think sometimes this is mostly psychological, some new turbo 4 engines have a broader power-band than say a early 2000's V8 engine, go to your nearest AMG dealer and try it yourself.

Volvo is coming with a really great turbo 4 engine.

Me personally, I'm all for the response of a n/a engine, that was not possible in the turbo engines of old, this is changing, if the engine has a crisp response, and a big area under the curve, I don't think we are going backwards.
