I've searched this forum looking for a single thread to use in searching for a missing engine and have found nothing specifically for that purpose. I would like to propose using this thread for anyone either looking for a specific engine, or having a specific engine without the corresponding car. I think it would be a great searchable tool for specific engine numbers. If only the digits of the numbers are used, no "P" in the number, then hopefully the search tool will work throughout this thread.

Also, separate the number from any other text or punctuation marks so that the engine number stands alone. If you do have a number that shows up here, and even if you don't want to part with it, it would be great to let the poster know where the engine is for future reference.

I am currently looking for 1957 A engine # 64143 It was last seen in the Long Beach area of California many years ago.

I am in possession of engine # 716713 , but would not part with it until finding the correct engine.
