We had an "old timer" here known as "Old Man Kelly". His real name was George Kelly and he was a really good artist. This was back in the 70's and 80's - he surfed a long board and would actually run you over at times if you were dumb enough to paddle out in the vicinity of where he was coming in on a wave. Very nice person but ----
He wore a life preserver type thing around his chest. He must have been in his 70's and 80's and was still surfing. He died a while back but left behind a legacy. That's all you can do.
