I am the most obsequious milque-toast on the planet when the cops pull me over (it serves me well) - save one time. Long long day and had to pick my kids up at the airport at 11:00PM. 12:30AM, turning into the "hood", got pulled over for going too fast on a 35mph rural road. Got snippy "Wha'd I do?" sort of snippy.
"Get out of the car" is what I heard. Cop says back by the trunk to me "I don't want to embarrass you in front of you kids. However, I will ***** in your nest because you don't know what a long day is" That's when I came to my senses and started saying "Yes Sir.
Wise move. Just a warning for the speeding.
Saw the same cop at a gas station a few years later. I said "Hey, you've yelled at me before" with a smile. He said "I kinda yell a lot".
