It's interesting that 5 yrs ago most of the ads you saw for P-cars were pretty honest and usually listed all the failures with the cars rather than expanding on all the rarities. Back then they were just "used cars". Now that they are "collectibles" all the scammers have come out of the woodwork. Before Porsches they were busy passing off Rolex watches, or Cubic Zirconia's as rare diamonds. Scammer's certainly chase the money.

I wouldn't drive 50 miles to look at a car today without spending lots of time on the phone asking very detailed questions. It's still the cars that you find without any advertising that turn out to be the "real deal".

It takes a lot of investigation to find the hidden cars, but they are still out there. Here are a couple of pics of a car I recently came across by accident. The Camaro in the pics is what was being advertised, but what is in the background certainly caught my eye. I should get off my you know what and check it out.
