Revolvers. Simple, they work, if you need more than three rounds you are in serious trouble or in a combat zone, both really.

I trust revolvers for personal protection. I have 30 round magazine spoons to handle the packs of stray dogs and packs of coyotes that trouble the stock. When you are up close and personal a revolver is simple and effective. Even my 1911 could have a FTF/FTE eventually. A basic revolver will just work! When you need one, just working is the most important thing there is!!!
