I went and looked at the car last year in Ohio from the 2nd owner at a price of $30k. and after driving 9hrs I had to explain to the owner that it was a salvage car. It was a thief recovery from back in the day. but them 3 weeks later the car was on eBay. From a dealer in NJ for $67k. I as well asked the same question is it a clear title car and he said yes. Then I had to break the news to him that he bought a Salvage car. He then stopped talking. I reported it to eBay and they would take the car off for misrep. of goods. Now again last week he posted it again and I reported it. Because I hate to see someone get screwed. They pulled his ad again. well now he has it posted as Salvage/ Rebuildable in the title section.
If you look close in the picture of the engine bay on the drivers side is the Salvage Plaque issued by the DMV.
