If you are sitting on a GED or just came in last in the HS diploma group, you might
consider "COOK". Why? Because I would rather be a cook in the Navy than a
cook at Dennys.
Face it. Not everyone's son has an IQ of 110 (average) or higher.
That's life. After I have exhausted all my resources of selling myself as something
I am not.... I would be cooking my ass off on an aircraft carrier.
Lots of future chances to move up while serving.
V.A. medical for life. College paid for. First home assistance without getting ripped off.
Discounts at most major big box stores and on and on.
So you are a cook. What is wrong with that?. You are not Phi Beta Capa for goodness sake. The paychecks are solid for what you are doing.
Now if you go in the recruiters office with some junior college and have been tested to have (GCT/ARI) an IQ of 120, then no... don't fall for spending time aboard the USS Clinton peeling potatoes.
Good Luck.
