OK time to man up... I just did some more searching for old SSI for sale posts for the 84-89 3.2 versions and they all seem to have the extension that go in to the head. I could have swore the 84-89 didn't have them though. If they both have them then I wonder what the difference is to need different part numbers for the 80-83 SC and the 84-89 Carrera? Also I remember when Dansk first started producing them after the buyout of SSi they stated they didn't come with the O2 bung and if needed to have a muffler shop weld one in. Now the pics show them already installed.
Sorry for the "Brain Williams" moment..But I would still listen to what John Walker had to say.
